OK, so most of my students know where I am at this time (October 4-7) – since they are with me in Puerto Rico!  I’m co-leading a trip with fellow faculty member Karrie Bowen to San Juan, where we are spending two full days taking a tour of the Capitol Building, visiting Fort El Morro, and exploring the biodiversity and impacts of climate change in El Yunque National Forest, the only national rainforest for the United States.

My students utilized iPads as a technology tool to take notes, photos, and videos during our time in the rainforest.  Currently, the students are writing an iBook that summarizes the content of what they learned in El Yunque.  Stay tuned for their publication!
