I did not have to travel very far for this one – just across the hall from my office!  In Tomezsko Classroom Building, Room 101, I helped co-lead a one-day training session for students and faculty from colleges and universities across the region on establishing Fair Trade programming on their campuses, as well as working towards Fair Trade University status.  I have posted a summary of the day at the Fair Trade at Penn State Brandywine website.

I just submitted my entry to the Nature Narratives writing contest. If you are a fan of nature and a friend of @tylerarboretum or @psubrandywine or @pennstatebwalum, then you should take your inspiration and put it into words in any genere! Deadline is November 15th. Thanks to @vairolibrarypsu and the Penn State Brandywine Sustainovation Team and Tyler Arboretum for organizing this fun event! I can't wait to read all of the entries (not just the winning ones!) in the Short Edition dispenser on campus. Check out the details: https://tinyurl.com/naturenarratives
Just finished leading a teacher program at @TylerArboretum this morning on the @EPA Air Quality Flag Program. So thankful to @sustainPSU @PepsiCo for the funding that provided a $100 flag set to each teacher for free.
Yes, I got up early on a Saturday to see the #ISS International Space Station over Philadelphia/Media on Nov 9, 5:59 AM #SpotTheStation via @NASA - so cool, I’ll be geeking out about this experience all day!
Dear weekend, please allow me the time to start reading this book, a chronological journey of natural history/oceanography based on Melville’s experiences and what was known about the ocean at the time (1851). #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #ahabsrollingsea #richardjking
Was talking to a nurse today, she complimented my nautical @SeaBagsMaine. I told her I was an oceanographer, and she was fascinated to hear me speak about @NOAA - love these unexpected #scicomm opportunities! #seabags #recycledmaterials#recycledsails #sciencecommunication #nauticalstyle #compassrose
